My name is Rachel Berg and is a privilege to be your partner in education for your child's year in 1st grade!
I am originally from Kansas City, MO and I stayed in Missouri to attend college at Missouri State University. Go Bears! I majored in elementary education with a minor in developmental reading.
I spent a year team teaching 1st grade in Springfield before moving to Baton Rouge, LA I taught 1st grade for two years in Louisiana. Then I moved to Houston, TX and taught 1st grade for two more years. I've been at HLA for a year and love being back in KC! I love teaching 1st grade and watching "lightbulbs" go off as our kiddos learn new things!
When I'm not at school, I love to read, cook, and take my dogs, Sammy and Owen on long walks. I love being outside and spending time with my friends and family.
I am so excited to be a part of the team and family at Hope Leadership Academy and I'm looking forward to learning more about you and your family this year!
